Google Calendar and Google Drive

Each employee connects their own Google account. Atlas asks Google for read-only access through Superhuman Systems' verified app, and you choose in Atlas which calendars, drives and folders it may read.

Google Calendar

Atlas reads the events of the calendars you choose: their time, title, attendees and organiser. It does not read event descriptions. The first sync reaches back up to twelve months and a month ahead, so Atlas knows which meetings are coming.

  • Sign in to Atlas and open Connections.
  • On Google Calendar, click Connect with Google and approve read-only access to your calendars. The account must be your own work account.
  • Choose the calendars Atlas may read.

Google Drive

Atlas reads the names, folders and sharing of the files in the drives and top-level folders you choose: who added or shared a file, and when. It reads a file's text only after you allow that separately, and then only Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, PDFs, Word and text files. The first sync reaches back up to six months.

  • On Google Drive, click Connect with Google and approve access to file names and sharing.
  • Choose the drives and folders Atlas may read.
  • To let Atlas read the text of those files, tick Also read the text of these files; Google asks you to approve that separately.

How to stop

Click Disconnect on the connection in Atlas, or remove Superhuman Systems in your Google account's connected apps. Either deletes the stored access at once, and Atlas stops reading from that moment.
