Atlas for Slack

Atlas reads the channels your organisation chooses and posts the updates your colleagues approve. It turns what happens in Slack, in meetings and in documents into shared knowledge: projects, decisions and action points, each traceable to the message, meeting or document it came from.

How to install

Atlas for Slack is installed from your organisation's Atlas workspace by an organisation admin. There is no separate sign-up: the installation belongs to your organisation's own Atlas environment.

  • Sign in to Atlas and open Connections.
  • On Slack workspace, click Install Atlas in Slack.
  • Approve the permissions Slack shows. You return to Atlas.
  • Choose the channels Atlas may read. You can change them, or disconnect, at any time.

Employees who want Atlas to post as them connect Slack (as you) on the same page. Atlas then posts only the messages they approve, one at a time.

What Atlas reads and posts

Atlas reads the messages of the channels an admin chose, once a day. It never reads direct messages or other channels. A private channel is read only after the Atlas app has been added to it in Slack, and what is read there stays visible only to that channel's members.

Atlas posts the notifications and updates employees approve in Atlas, as Atlas or, when an employee allows it, as that employee. It never posts on its own.

What Atlas keeps out of everything it reads, and where it is kept: Privacy policy.

How to stop

An admin clicks Disconnect on Slack workspace in Atlas, or removes the app in Slack's app settings. Either deletes the stored access at once, and Atlas stops reading from that moment.
